The first Bike Cities mountain route - Yellow route
Just before the 1st EPAL Vocational School of Serres you can turn and find the starting point, next to “Ippiko Omilo”- the Horse riding school . This mountain route that is proposed to Bike Cities project and it is going to be cleaned , filled with signs and map so you can enjoy it !
Lefkonas as a starting village
You can start from Lefkonas village and you can find any supplies you might need for trip .
Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Serres, The municipal unit has an area of 68.247 km2. Population around 4.000 people. You can find big companies , super markets and also cafe and taverns.
Kato Metohi village
After a almost 4 Km mountain route you can join the main asphalt road to the the K. Metohi, a village suburb of the city of Serres It lies some 5 km northeast of the city centre at a height of 100 m above sea level.
The village is mostly active in animal husbandry and the production of dairy products. It features three churches, St. Demetrios in the village proper and two other, dedicated to St. Elijah and Panagia Vyssiani, in its vicinity.
There are also very nice taverns over there and you can buy very tasty honey for home!
